Press Statement by Alan Ling:
Pakatan Harapan Sarawak secretary Senator Alan Ling donated 500 face masks to Tudan Health Clinic yesterday.
“I hope this first batch of face masks will benefit the doctors, medical assistants, nurses and staff from different departments in Tudan Health Clinic.
“I am glad that I can contribute some face masks for the healthcare workers carrying out their duty though the clinic does not treat any Covid-19 patient,” Ling pointed out.
Ling pledged a second donation in due course so clinic staff are better protected. He understood that the clinic was facing shortage of face masks as the priority is given to hospital staff treating Covid-19 patients.
Ling felt the workload of healthcare workers at the clinic has increased during this critical period with more people seeking treatment due to better awareness and as precaution against Covid-19.
“I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the medical staff for their hard work and compassion,” he added.
DAP Long Lama chairman, who is also chairman of the Health Advisory Panel in Tudan Health Clinic Marcus Hugo handed over the donation on behalf of Ling to the doctor-in-charge of Tudan Health Clinic Dr Maurice Steve Utap.
