The newly-appointed Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) Sarawak chairman Wong King Wei has instructed his office to invite all relevant stakeholders for a series of meetings to get feedback and seek solutions for problems faced by the various industry players.

The meetings will be called separately for the various types of stakeholders such as lorry owners and drivers, taxi companies and drivers, e-hailing operators and drivers, school bus owners, bus companies, car dealers and car rental companies.

“I am very much willing to engage in meetings with the various stakeholders to hear out their plights, problems and also get constructive suggestions from them.

“We are here to facilitate the development of the city and give a boost to the economic growth, not to make people’s life any more difficult,” said Wong, who is Padungan State Assemblyman.

He said the LPKP Sarawak Headquarters will send out invitations to all relevant stakeholders and confirmation of attendance should be made by the invited stakeholders in due course.

“I look forward to having a fruitful engagement with all of them,” he added.

The series of meetings are expected to be called beginning next week.
