Kuching: A total of RM202,500 has been allocated to SK Satria Jaya and SK Sungai Stutong in the Stampin parliamentary constituency to purchase Smart Interactive TVs to enhance digital learning.
Special Assistant to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, Michael Kong Feng Nian, said SK Satria Jaya received RM108,000 for nine Smart Interactive TVs, fulfilling a commitment made last year to equip its classrooms with the technology.
“With the latest installation, most classrooms are now equipped with the facilities, with teachers reporting positive feedback on how the technology has made lessons more engaging and effective.
“However, some Primary One classrooms still require the equipment. Further discussions would be held with the school to explore the possibility of providing additional units next year,” he said.
Meanwhile, SK Sungai Stutong received RM94,500 for seven Smart Interactive TVs, following the provision of eight units last year.
“With the latest allocation, all classrooms at the school will be equipped with the technology, benefiting students from surrounding communities, including Kampung Stutong and the Stampin Resettlement Scheme, many of whom come from B40 households,” he said.
Kong said the initiative aimed to provide students with better learning opportunities regardless of their family’s financial background.
He reaffirmed his commitment to working with both schools to address their needs and provide better educational facilities.
