Press Statement By Abdul Aziz:

Batu Kitang DAP Chairman Abdul Aziz Isa paid a visit to inspect the construction work of the multipurpose hall project site at SK Jalan Arang, Batu Kitang DUN.

The project worth RM382,000 was implemented through the open tender system during the Pakatan Harapan (“PH”) government administration. It was approved by former Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) YB Chong Chieng Jen via the Stampin MP Special Allocation Fund.

The project is expected to be completed by April 2020 but due to the Movement Control Order (“PKP”), construction work was temporarily disrupted before resuming in July. It is expected that the construction work of the SK Jalan Arang multipurpose hall will be completed by the end of this year.

Several years ago, the Parents and Teachers Association (“PIBG”) SK Jalan Arang made many applications to relevant authorities to build the multipurpose hall. But when the application was first submitted to YB Chong Chieng Jen, who is also Stampin MP, immediately approved their application without delay.

The upgrades will provide facilities for students, teachers and school staff to hold various curricular activities such as sports, arts and academics.

During the visit, Abdul Aziz and Tadika Kastil also donated 500 pieces of 3-ply face masks. The 3-ply face masks were handed over by Tadika Kastil Headmistress Kong Ee Xuan to Delton, who represented the PIBG of SK Jalan Arang. It was also witnessed by SK Jalan Arang Headmaster Edward Peter Bajat.

Since 13 February 2020, Abdul Aziz has donated 1,678 pieces of 3-ply face masks to 763 students and 76 office staffs members. Aside from that, Abdul Aziz has also distributed the Covid-19 awareness pamphlets printed by the Information Department (“JAPEN”).

Abdul Aziz assured that his party through the Stampin Member of Parliament Service Center will continue to provide assistance and support to SK Jalan Arang in an effort to develop the school infrastructure, strengthen the education system and increase welfare assistance to students.
