
Kuching: The first-ever Double Trouble Community Pickleball Competition took place over the weekend, attracting 78 teams across four categories: Veteran (above 45 years old), Men’s Doubles, Women’s Doubles, and Junior (ages 13–17).
Special Assistant to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, Michael Kong Feng Nian, who represented Chong during the prize-giving ceremony, congratulated winners and participants for their outstanding sportsmanship and team spirit.
“The event was truly heartening, showcasing vibrant community spirit, healthy competition, and a commitment to fitness.
“Events like this not only encourage an active lifestyle but also help strengthen community bonds,” he said.
Organisers, volunteers, and participants were lauded for making the inaugural competition a success.
With the high energy and excitement witnessed over the weekend, preparations are already underway for a bigger and better edition next year.
