Kuching: With year-end school holidays approaching and families preparing for the upcoming academic term, DAP Stampin has carried out its annual initiative aimed at easing the financial burden faced by parents, particularly those from the B40 community.
The rising cost of living continues to pose challenges for many households, and basic school necessities often add to the strain. In response, DAP Stampin representatives visited several schools today, including SJK (C) Stampin, SK Satria Jaya, SK Stutong, and SJK Chung Hua No. 2.
During the visits, the team distributed school shoes, pencil cases, and water bottles to students from low-income families.
According to Special Assistant to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, Michael Kong Feng Nian, the contribution, though modest, is intended to provide meaningful support as children prepare for the new school year.
He said the programme reflects DAP Stampin’s ongoing commitment to community welfare.
“This initiative is part of our continuous effort to deliver people-centric programmes rooted in real community needs. Every child deserves equal access and support in their education journey,” he said.
Kong added that the party will continue to champion initiatives that uplift families and support the development of the younger generation.
