Kuching: DAP Stampin once again brought its Jualan Kombo Madani initiative to the community at 7th Mile on 5 October 2025, continuing efforts to ease the burden of rising living costs for local residents.

A total of 300 household food packs, each valued at RM15, were sold at a subsidised price of only RM10.

In addition, Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen contributed a 5kg bag of rice for every buyer, effectively doubling the value of each purchase to RM30 worth of essentials for just RM10.

“The Jualan Kombo Madani initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to help the public manage the cost of living.

“We want to ensure that assistance reaches the people directly and meaningfully,” said Michael Kong Feng Nian, Special Assistant to Chong.

DAP Stampin has been organising similar subsidised sales in various neighbourhoods, providing essential goods at affordable prices to households in need.

Kong added that addressing the cost of living remains a key priority for the Federal Government, citing initiatives such as the recently launched Budi95 programme, which allows licensed Malaysian drivers to purchase 300 litres of RON95 petrol at RM1.99 per litre.

“As we approach the tabling of Budget 2026 on 10 October 2025, we will continue to advocate for more people-friendly policies and tangible assistance to help Malaysians weather these challenging economic times,” he said.
