In the Premier’s speech in the tabling of the budget 2024, he complained that Sarawak will only be given RM5.8 billion development fund from the Federal Government for 2024, which represents only 6.4% of the total Federal Development Budget of RM90 billion for 2024, and thus is highly insufficient for the development needs of the State.
Why sulk over the insufficient fund in this Dewan when the GPS has a Deputy Prime Ministers amongst the 5 federal ministers and 6 Deputy Ministers in the Federal Government and make the demand at the Federal cabinet meetings?
Have they not brought the matter up in the cabinet meetings? If so, what was the reason given by the Prime Minister for the low percentage of the development allocation given to Sarawak?
