It is inappropriate for Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad to label Dong Zong as racist, said Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei.

The Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak vice chairman asserted that the Chinese community has the rights to raise their concern and Tun M as the prime minister should address the concern and listen to it.

“The prime minister should not label them as racist,” he said today.

Wong reminded Dr Mahathir that he should be a prime minister for all Malaysians under the spirit of a new government.

“The old way of doing things should not be continued,” he added.
