Kuching: SK Sungai Stutong received a contribution of RM108,000 from the Stampin Member of Parliament (MP) for the purchase of eight Smart Interactive TVs, marking a significant boost to the school’s digital teaching and learning facilities.
The funding from the Stampin MP will equip half of the school’s classrooms with Smart Interactive TVs, enabling more interactive, engaging, and effective digital lessons.
Special Assistant to Stampin MP Chong Chieng Jen, Michael Kong Feng Nian said that they are committed to completing the digitalisation of the remaining classrooms next year, ensuring that all students at SK Sungai Stutong will eventually benefit from a fully equipped digital learning environment.
“Most students at SK Sungai Stutong come from nearby communities such as Kampung Stutong and the Stampin Resettlement Scheme, where many families fall within the B40 income group.
“Our goal is to empower these students through education by giving them access to modern learning tools that can help unlock their potential and uplift their families and communities,” he said.
He added that they truly believe that education is the most powerful tool for transformation.
“Through this digitalisation, we aim to provide every child, regardless of background, the opportunity to learn, explore, and succeed in an ever-changing world,” he said.
