Press Statement By Chong Chieng Jen：
Yesterday, volunteers from DAP Kuching and Stampin area helping to carry out sanitisation fogging exercise at Batu Kawa Old Bazaar and the surrounding commercial areas.
This is the second sanitisation exercise carried out by DAP Kuching and Stampin volunteer team after the Kenyalang Park Commercial Centre. I would like to thank the selfless effort of the volunteers.
In fact, such sanitisation should be done by the government but sadly, it was not done.
Despite our constraint in resources, we will make do with whatever we have to help the people in the affected areas. Our focus will be on those public places where there are declared confirmed Covid cases or clusters and upon requests by the residents thereof.
Meanwhile, we hope the government can step up on the vaccination effort to swiftly attain the herd immunity target and carry out the mass screening exercise to effectively trace the infected carriers of Covid-19 virus to contain the spread.
