Receptiveness & Confidence Towards CM Son’s Company
Another issue I wish to highlight today is the receptiveness and confidence the Sarawak State Government has shown towards the Chief Minister’s son.
Besides the lucrative Petronas projects awarded, Abdillah Izzarim is also one of the shareholders and owner of PP telecommunication Sdn Bhd which is involved in the RM80 million data exchange hub project. The same company is also involved in the laying of optic submarine cable pipe project amounting RM160 million from Kuching to Singapore via Batam Island. (Borneo Post, 8th March 2018). Again, nothing has been disclosed for these two projects so far. It was revealed that both internet data exchange hub and the submarine cable projects are expected to be ready for service by October last year.
Perhaps the YAB Chief Minister can enlighten the August House what is the status of these projects and whether the Chief Minister son’s company has been paid anything by the Sarawak Government.
