Anthony Loke to officiate DAP Sarawak Conference 2025 in Bintulu with 100 delegates

DAP Sarawak Secretary Alan Ling said notices have been issued to all qualified branches ahead of the party’s 2025 Annual General Delegates Conference in Bintulu, where 100 delegates are expected to attend.

Miri: The Democratic Action Party (DAP) National Secretary-General, Anthony Loke, who is Minister of Transport, will officiate the DAP Sarawak 2025 Annual General Delegates Conference, scheduled to take place on Sunday, 26 October in Bintulu.

According to DAP Sarawak Secretary Alan Ling, the conference is expected to draw around 100 qualified delegates and 20 observers.

“This gathering will centre on preparations for the upcoming state election, following the redelineation of constituencies which increased the number of seats to 99,” he said in a statement.

Ling also confirmed that no leadership election will be held this year, with the current committee continuing to lead under the leadership core headed by Chong Chieng Jen.

He stressed that the state party remains united and fully supportive of Chong’s leadership.

Meanwhile, he said that DAP Bintulu Branch Chairman, Tony Chiew, leads the organising work for this year’s conference.

“The first notice on the conference has been issued to the secretaries of all qualified branches in accordance with the party constitution to inform them of the date and venue, with a second notice to follow soon.

“Branch representatives and observers are encouraged to register early with DAP Bintulu to facilitate arrangements,” Ling said.

He added that the registration for the convention has been opened and can be done through the DAP Bintulu office or via the QR code link provided in the first notice.
