Bau: A total of 327 students from the Mas Gading constituency received the Mas Gading Further Studies Incentive 2025 at a ceremony held on 27 September 2025 at Dewan Datuk Peter Nansian, REDEEMS Centre, Bau.

This year’s recipients comprise 147 diploma students and 181 undergraduate students, marking a steady increase in the number of local youths successfully pursuing higher education.

Mas Gading MP Mordi Bimol said the annual programme serves as recognition of students’ determination to further their studies, regardless of family background or academic achievement.

“Education is a long-term investment and the key to our future. This incentive is not just financial aid but also a symbol of encouragement and appreciation for the students’ efforts,” he said.

First introduced in 2019 with fewer than 50 recipients, the initiative has grown significantly, recording 72 recipients in 2023, 205 in 2024, and now 327 in 2025. The programme was temporarily halted from 2020 to 2022 due to funding constraints, but was revived after the 15th General Election.

This year’s ceremony also featured a forum and interactive sessions with invited speakers aimed at inspiring and preparing students for university life.

Mordi reminded recipients to give back to their hometown and community once they achieve success in their academic and professional journeys.

“Never forget your roots. Use the knowledge and experience gained to contribute to the development of the Mas Gading community,” he added.

He also congratulated all 327 recipients and expressed hope that they will excel in their studies and become future leaders who bring benefits to their families, communities, and the nation.
